Description
Amoxicillin/Clavulanate (also known as co-amoxiclav) is a broad-spectrum antibiotic used to treat various bacterial infections, including upper and lower respiratory tract infections, genito-urinary tract infections, and skin or soft tissue infections. It combines Amoxicillin, a penicillin-type antibiotic, with Clavulanate Potassium, a beta-lactamase inhibitor that enhances Amoxicillin’s effectiveness. Typically taken orally at the start of a meal to reduce gastrointestinal discomfort, common side effects may include diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting. Use under medical supervision to ensure proper dosage and effectiveness.
